Disaster Relief: Supporting Communities Before and After Emergencies

When a cyclone or health emergency hits, families can lose shelter, food and income at once.

Immediate needs

Dry food, tarpaulins and ration materials help families through the first days. We have documented such distributions during Cyclone Fani and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before disaster

Awareness and preparedness help communities protect themselves. Knowing where to go, whom to call and how to keep safe reduces harm.

After disaster

Recovery takes time. Continued care for older people, children and persons with disabilities matters long after the news cycle moves on.

You can support emergency relief through a campaign, or volunteer for relief logistics.
