Safe & Protected

Safeguarding Policy

Our commitment to keeping children, women and communities safe.

Our commitment

We are committed to protecting children and vulnerable people from harm and to creating safe environments in all our activities.

Photographs and privacy

We publish photographs only where appropriate permission exists and do not publish personal details of beneficiaries. Anyone can ask us to remove an image.

Volunteers

Volunteers working with children must be screened, follow the code of conduct, and never be alone with a child. Not all volunteers may work with children.

Reporting concerns

If you have a concern about a child or vulnerable person, write to us immediately. In an emergency, contact local police or Childline 1098.

Action

We take every concern seriously, may suspend a volunteer while we look into it, and will involve the relevant authorities when needed.
