Why Health and Hygiene Awareness Matters in Underserved Communities

Many everyday illnesses can be prevented with basic hygiene and timely information.

Awareness first

Hand-washing, clean water practices and knowing when to seek care are simple habits that protect families. Awareness sessions help these habits spread.

In emergencies

During the COVID-19 period, we documented hand-wash programmes and the distribution of masks, sanitizer and soap in slum areas.

Working with local groups

Community-based organisations and self-help groups are trusted voices. Our health awareness work, including a session on AIDS/HIV, involved such groups.
